Day 1: Arrive in Las Vegas and Transfer to St George, UT
Fly into Las Vegas or St George Utah’s Local Airport and be transported to your lodging that will be our base for the duration of the trip.
This picturesque town is nestled in a red rock valley at the convergence of the Colorado Plateau, the Mojave Desert, and the Great Basin. Once a highly active volcanic area you will see the remnants of these ancient lava flows at the tops of the mesa’s surrounding the town.
The St George area offers easy access to multiple parks and has a large pickleball facility that has been used for many national and international tournaments.
Get some dinner at one of the nearby restaurants and some rest because the fun starts the next morning.
Day 2: Pickleball and Snow Canyon State Park
You will be met by our guide first thing in the morning and travel the short distance to the local pickleball courts. We will spend the morning at the courts.
Lunch will be on your own at one of the many restaurant options and your guide will let you know which places he recommends.
That afternoon we will visit Snow Canyon State Park and do some light hiking on the petrified dunes of the park. Snow Canyon, named after an early settler in the area, offers beautiful rock formations, beautiful rock striping, and even ancient lava flows.
After we return we will have a welcome dinner at one of our local restaurants.
Day 3: Zion National Park and Evening Pickle-Ball
After breakfast at the hotel we will depart for Zion National Park. Zion offers some of the most breathtaking views in this part of the state. Soaring cliffs of Navajo Sandstone rise above the canyon floor 2,000 ft or more. We will explore some hikes on Zion Scenic Drive as well as the upper plateau on the east side of the park. This will be an experience you will never forget.
After we are done we return to St George in time for dinner on your own followed by some late evening pickle-ball play.
Day 4: Bryce Canyon National Park
We will depart in the morning for Bryce Canyon National Park. Bryce offers a different experience than Zion. Bryce is known for its thousands of hoodoos, and rock spires, that fill the amphitheater of the park. Expansive views are also available from the rim or descend among the hoodoos for a unique experience.
Afterward, we will return to St George for dinner and lodging.
Day 5: Antelope Canyon Tour
Antelope Canyon is one of the most beautiful places in Arizona. Where the Grand Canyon is massive and broad in scope Antelope Canyon uses its narrowness to offer a different kind of beauty.
Thousands of years of water have cut a narrow path for flood waters to empty into the Colorado River. These narrow cuts offer beautiful flowing rock formations and the narrow nature of the canyon provides lighting that is unique to the slot canyons of the west. Our Navajo guide will lead us through the beautiful canyon and even help you set your camera to the proper settings to get the best photos of the canyon.
Afterward, we will make our way to Horseshoe Bend one of the iconic views of the Colorado River. A short 3/4 mile walk allows us to access a viewing area perched 800 feet above the river at a horseshoe-shaped bend of the river.
We again return to St George for the evening.
Day 6: Pickleball and Farewell Dinner
After breakfast will have one more opportunity to play pickleball with our new friends. 3 For those that would like to do some shopping there are several local stores in the historic downtown area known as Ancestor Square. As well as in the nearby Zion Outlets.
Lodging again in St George. Dinner that evening will be on us.
Day 7: Return to Las Vegas
Get checked out of your hotel and depart for Las Vegas. Your guide will return you to the airport by 11:00 am.
