How large are the tour groups?

Our tours listed on the site typically consist of 8-10 people. If we do decide to take more than 10 people we will add a second vehicle and guide to the tour. We do offer Private tour options that can accommodate any size group from 1 person to several hundred.

What type of vehicle do you use for your tours?

We have a variety of vehicles that we use for our tours depending on tour size and tour requirements. Some examples would be Mercedes/Dodge Sprinters (hightop), Ford Transits (hightop), Dodge Promaster (hightop), various SUVs, and Passenger Coach’s to name a few.

How many bags can we bring?

We ask that our guests limit their luggage to one suitcase and a carry-on size bag. In addition, you may want to consider a small backpack to carry water, a camera, snacks, etc. during our daily activities.

What time will we finish each day?

We generally try to be finished with the daily activities by 5:30 to 6:00 pm. Some days may be slightly longer depending on the tour.

What do we do for the meals that are not provided?

We will always be near restaurants during meal times and our guides will be happy to make recommendations. On some of our tours, it may be appropriate to get a box or bag lunch so that we maximize our time spent in the parks. The guides will let you know when this is the case.

How much walking/hiking is involved in this tour?

On our Grand Circle and Mighty Five tours, we have designed them to include 2-3 miles of walking/hiking per day. Since we are a small group tour company we always attempt to adjust the tour to match the needs of the group that is traveling with us.

Can we customize a tour?

Of course! We love to work with our clients on their custom tours. Contact us and we will be happy to help you design the tour that meets your needs.

This was a fabulous trip through the beautiful landscape of the Mighty Five and wonderful additions in Arizona, Colorado and Utah. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and we entered all the Parks without any of the publicized traffic delays. The tour was comfortable and the group size (9) perfect Tom rallied our group early every day and he knew all the 'secret' back roads within the Parks to maximize our adventure. Antelope Canyon was magnificent, as was: Zion, Bryce, and Scenic Highway 12 in Utah. I highly recommend this tour company for your Utah National Park travel experience.

My wife and I chose the self guided option of the Mighty 5 plus Dead Horse and Goblin Valley State Parks with Southern Utah Scenic Tours. One word for the entire process and trip: SPECTACULAR! Will and Jaime gave us the most incredible 9 day itinerary that took us from Las Vegas to Salt Lake City. Every day was wonderfully outlined in the travel package and we felt like we had plenty of time to see every attraction. The lodging was outstanding and always close to the parks we were visiting. The restaurant recommendations were spot on every time! The local knowledge they provided in the travel package was invaluable for the entire trip and provided us with tips to sights, hikes and scenery that we would have never found on our own. We feel like we have truly experienced the beauty of southern Utah! Thanks for a wonderful trip!! Everything was perfect!

We just returned home from the Utah Mighty 5 National Parks tour. Our roomy and comfortable van held 10 people plus our guide. The tour was well planned out, our guide Kiley Bice was knowledgeable and fun, and the hotels were all great. Due to rain, one day’s plans had to be changed on the fly. Kiley had alternative activities and sights planned without disappointments or regrets. The only negative was the van had a water leak from the air unit on the roof that dripped into the van after a hard rain. Kiley informed the main office and they immediately remedied the issue by driving a replacement van to us the next day. We felt confident that the company valued our experience and supported their employees to the fullest. We would definitely tour with Utah Southern Tours again and recommend them to all our friends.

Zion NP ▫ Bryce Canyon NP ▫ Capitol Reef NP ▫ Arches NP ▫ Canyonlands NP ▫ Escalante-Grand Staircase National Monument ▫ Goblin Valley State Park ▫  Deadhorse Point State Park ▫ Salt Lake Cities Mormon Temple Square

We begin the tour in Las Vegas and end in Salt Lake City.

Our guides are the best in the area. They usually are natives of Southern Utah and have a lifetime of stories and insights to draw upon. There is no substitute for experience. They provide a comprehensive overview of the history, geology, plant life, and culture of the West.

(Temple Square has more visitors every year than most of the national parks in Utah, combined)
